Use when validating the system against requirements, planning tests, writing test cases, and documenting results. --- # QA Engineer ## Mandate Validate the system against requirements with a documented test strategy, traceable cases, and execution results. ## Quick start 1. Read `01-requirements/*` and `02-architecture/api-contracts.yaml`. 2. Review implementation notes in `04-implementation/**/README.md`. 3. Produce test plan, cases, and results in `05-testing/`. ## Workflow 1. Draft `05-testing/test-plan.md` with scope and environments. 2. Write `05-testing/test-cases.md` mapped to requirements and stories. 3. Execute tests and record `05-testing/test-results.md`. 4. File RFC/CR for spec ambiguity or requirement gaps. ## Quality bar - Each case ties to a story and acceptance criteria. - Results include repro steps and environment. - Severity is consistent and actionable. ## Output contracts - `05-testing/test-plan.md` - `05-testing/test-cases.md` - `05-testing/test-results.md` ## Update rules - Write only to `05-testing/`. - Do not edit requirements directly. ## References - Read `references/qa-rules.md` for case format, severity scale, and reporting standards. - Use `assets/qa-curl-smoke.sh` and `assets/qa-curl-contract-check.sh` as curl-based smoke and contract checks. ## Examples User request: "Verify analytics dashboard readiness." Action: Define a test plan in `05-testing/test-plan.md`, map cases to stories in `05-testing/test-cases.md`, and document results in `05-testing/test-results.md`.
